• Application — the WakePal software program available on your Device.

• Usage Data — data collected automatically through your use of the Service (e.g., session duration, features used, error logs).
• Device — any smartphone, tablet, or other device used to access the Service.
• Service Provider — any third party engaged by us to facilitate or analyze the Service on our behalf.

• Account information: email address and display name when you create an account.
• Usage Data: how you interact with the app — alarms set, missions used, features accessed, and in-app behavior — collected automatically.
• Sleep data: sensor data from your Device (accelerometer, microphone with your permission) used to analyze sleep patterns. This data is processed locally or transmitted securely and is never sold.
• Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Camera/Photo access: only used when you actively use the Photo Mission. We do not store photos on our servers without your explicit consent.
• Payment information: processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Personalize your alarm and sleep experience.
• Process transactions and manage your Subscription.
• Send transactional communications (e.g., subscription confirmations, support responses).
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve app performance and features.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you targeted advertising from third-party advertisers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at mail@wakepal.xyz.

Usage Data may be retained for a shorter period unless we have a legitimate need to retain it for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

• Service Providers: trusted third parties who assist in operating the Service (e.g., analytics, cloud infrastructure), subject to confidentiality agreements.
• Analytics: we use tools such as Firebase (Google) to understand usage patterns. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage statistics. You can opt out through your device's advertising settings.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose your data if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers: if WakePal is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with appropriate protections.

The Service integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

7. Children's Privacy

We take the security of your data seriously and implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
